The max9276a / max9280a Gigabit multimedia serial link (gmsl) deserializer receives data from the gmsl serializer through 50 Ω coaxial cable or 100 Ω shielded twisted pair (STP) cable, and outputs the deserialized data on the lvcmos output. The max9280a has HDCP content protection, but is otherwise the same as the max9276a. The deserializer is paired with any gmsl serializer capable of coaxial output, including the max9293hdmi / MHL serializer. When programmed for STP inputs, they are backward compatible with any gmsl serializer. The audio channel supports l-pcmi2s stereo, and supports up to 8 l-pcm channels in TDM mode. Support sampling rate from 32 kHz to 192 kHz, and the sampling depth can be up to 32 bits. Under the UART to UART and UART to I2C modes, the embedded control channel works at 9.6kbps to 1Mbps, and under the I2C to I2C mode, the maximum speed can reach 1Mbps.
